My daughter, who is 8 months old, loves to make the hammer do the crashing sound. It is easy to use and plush so no damage to furniture or people! Great toy!

This is a nice soft hammer, something I couldn't find anywhere else. Didn't want my little guy pounding on furniture, pets, or people with a hard plastic hammer. It makes a good crashing sound (sort of sounds like breaking glass) that makes my son laugh, but sometimes you have to whack it just right to get the sound. It's colorful and durable. For the price, it's a good toy.

I have 3 grandchildren and 2 more due in 2009. I previously bought a hard plastic hammer shaped rattle as a gift when they were born. That particular rattle is no longer in production. I found the Gund Hammer on an internet search and it was perfect. It is soft, entertaining for a baby, and just the right size. Perfect!

This is the perfect first toy tool for a boy. My son loves it and the sounds it makes are slightly annoying at times, which adds to my son's appeal towards it.
